Great music - HORRIBLE venue!
Bret Michaels, the great front man, has tons of energy and interacts so well with the crowd. Poison was the best of the night - also 5 stars. Jonas Brothers was excellent, as always - 5 stars! I'd give both Motley Crue and Joan Jet 4 stars.
I have never encountered a venue that allows people from another section to come stand in a section where their seat is not located. Unfortunately, the security guards allowed ANYONE who had a front row seat to stand ANYWHERE they wanted no matter what section their ticket was located in. If I could give less than zero stars to Great American Ball Park, I would. They should have been fabulous seats. I bought second row seats in section 4 which butted up to the stage extension. As a result, many people with front row seats in section 2 and section 3 came and stood in the front row of section 4. There were so many people standing in the front row of section 4 that my 2nd row seat became a 6th row seat. I paid for 2nd row. It's unacceptable that people were allowed to obstruct my view by watching the entire show in a section where their ticket was not located.
There needs to be either more bathrooms and vendors on floor or better access to get back down to the floor after purchasing food and drinks on the upper level. There were not enough drink vendors or restrooms on the floor and there were no food vendors. In addition to the poor seating enforcement, there were only 2 aisles for people to get from the upper bowl to the floor. This led to very long lines to get to seats on the floor. There were lots of one-way aisles to go from the floor to the upper bowl but not the opposite direction.
Bottom line - It was a horrendous experience. I'll never go to another concert at Great American Ball Park.
